Most Times Poem by J.Lakie Kollie,Jr.

Most Times

Most times…

We try to be what we’re not
Most times…

We assume the way, we know
Most times…

We criticize the one who tries
When we ourselves have never tried
Most times…

We wonder, 'could that be me?
Could that be me with the prize?
Could that be me that won the rest?
And now I am the best'
We forget to know there was a test
Before every man that is set
Not for folks to only bet
Or try to be the best pet
But for every prize
There is a fight.

Most times…
We try to skip the fight
And only look out for the prize
We do our best to criticize
And fail to know or realize
For all in life there is a prize.
MOST TIMES…
