Purple Pier Poem by Luke Fellner

Purple Pier

Purple pier

This Purple pier
full of ever-lasting wonder,
Reaching far past the horizon.
Reaching over blue-white waves,
crashing through my mind.

Through the day,
into the everlasting night.
traveling amidst the luminous stars,
who disseminate onto you their provoking light,

building forward with every step I take,
supporting me Always.
right my purple pier?

For I'm not old and neither are you.
If only our love did stay true.

Through frozen space,
reaching further and further.
Getting colder and colder,
as (we?) go deeper and deeper,
into your heart
to find that lost love for me.

this is it, my Purple Pier,
the end is near.
I see this now,
as the stars disappear from your gaze.

farewell to you beautiful Purple Pier,
remember,
I'll always be here.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We've all had a purple pier. When is it time to let go and explore the cosmos by ourselves? How do we let go?
