Pure Gold Poem by Mel Caron

Pure Gold

When he first captured my vision
My soul had a collision
His eyes cried out a brilliant blue
My heart screamed, let me love you
My mind shuddered with fear
What would happen, if I pulled him near?
I did not even need time
To know that I'm
Made for him, as he for me
Sweetly
He said hello
I would like to get to know
Your beautiful soul
Seems like there is a hole
In your heart, what would you do
If there was a man who actually loved you?
My emerald green eyes
Just gazed
Into the beautiful soul with-in, amazed
Sensing no danger
I fell in love with a stranger
But as the days unfold
I have learned, he is pure gold
