Pulses... Poem by Francis Wanyiri

Pulses...

life in halves
live in pulses
leave without say
count each day
mention every breath
Marvel to enticing sights
fascinated of the sites
I am in a pulse
heart pounding
am panting
Just out of excitement
at least once in time

but then again
It gains momentum
this time racing
I see tragedy,
smell fear
sniff smoke
Not from cigarette
But a burning heart
The scene so frightening
I am in a pulse...
