Pulling Petals Poem by Heather Marie Mortimer

Pulling Petals

We pull petals from a daisy
Just to read our fortune
And push lovers to their limits
Just to know our portion.

Alas! Love is chaos
It is burning, it is free
It's the kind of thing I'd run from
But it's all that I can see.

I was floating by in comfort
And it crashed into my heart
When life comes unexpected
How am I to know my part?

Now I'm stuck here feeling dizzy
And I cannot find my feet
And it's crashing down in torrents
So I'll just stand here in this sleet.

Looks like you have been stricken with cupid's arrow. You have said as much in your fine image of love crashing into your heart.
