Pull The Window Shades Poem by Barbara S. Johnson

Pull The Window Shades

Pull the window shades all the way down. Turn off the lights and make not a sound. The day you were born I gave you my heart Never did I think that my own child would tear it apart. Life as I knew ended that day For a mother's heart will slowly wither away. So pull the window shades all the way down The beat of my heart now has no sound. This life has closed just come dawn The one who truly loved you, child is now gone. Love Always, Mom
