Proper Protocols Dismissed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Proper Protocols Dismissed

Proper protocols.
To follow at any cost.
Is a lesson to learn.
After mistakes made,
Repeatedly to make.
Realizing results to get,
Are better than none.
Yet...
Regrettably,
Remaining there are some...
Choosing to do what they wish.
Without listening to anyone.
Then want to start,
A senseless argument over it.

There is no protocol to follow at all.
If in the process the doing is stalled.
By one who decides impulsively,
Results to achieve can be done quicker.
Done to jump from A to Z.
With admitting to have studied,
Activities watched to perform...
As a beloved cartoon character,
Did on TV easily.

"I know you aren't attempting to insult,
My intelligence.
So I won't take it there.
However...
Are you assuming to suggest,
My research is not authentic? "

-What you purpose,
Is not scientific.
Nothing is detailed.
And lacks proof of it.-

"Oh!
So you want to get personal?
You want to get low and 'naaasssty? "

-We...
Are scientists.
And base our findings,
On research.
With steps to take first.-

"And...
Just because I am not dressed,
In white and wearing goggles.
My steps to take,
Every Saturday morning.
To watch everything,
'Zippy The Scientist' does...
Makes me less qualified than you? "

-God?
Please provide us the proof and evidence,
You actually exist.-

"I heard that.
Everytime God,
Sends you folks a gift.
Quick you are to dismiss it for what it is."
