Princess Poem by jan fuentez

(I wrote this piece when I was still in college (August 17,1999) while waiting for my professor. I wrote it in one of my books and just recently I was able to dig it up while scanning my old stuffs in school.)

I would have wanted
To be your princess
But fate is so cruel
Taken by the arms of somebody
You're now unleashed from me
Must take it though painfully
'Cause that's how I'm used to be
Someday I'll be reaching my stars
With the added sunshine from afar
'Till the rest of my days
