Powai Lake - Mumbai's Pride (Abridged) Poem by Seema Jayaraman

Powai Lake - Mumbai's Pride (Abridged)

Rating: 5.0

Still waters of a large lake
miles long sheet of mirror laid
pale moonlight waltzed with
strings of purple and gold
from the yet far off breaking dawn

Down its length by its edge
Out on a salubrious pre-dawn ride
mesmerized, shrouded misty wake
mysteries hidden deep inside
Mumbai's pride, freshwater Powai Lake

I shall use your obvious pride in a scene as inspiration to write about the sunsets that take place here in Victoria BC Now it is essential to have my daughter show me how to place pictures on this site. show you soon.

Thank you Wes, yes it would be lovely to look at the pictures of the Victoria BC Sunrise. I had visited Canada (Vancouver and Toronto) a few times long ago.. Vancouver was so beautiful... I have taken a few pics of our Powai Lake. One of the largest Man Made Lakes. Will try to upload the pics. thanks.
