Poppies And Lilies Poem by Jason Pack

Poppies And Lilies

Why don't you follow me,
Walk through the woods with me,
Frolic through fields of,
Poppies and lilies?

I wanna know you,
I wanna hold you,
Know what it's like to,
Be loved by you.

In the field at night,
Lit up by starlight,
Everything can go right,
If you'll abandon fright.

Where do you wanna go?
I'll take you to and fro,
If you'll only know,
This doesn't come and go.

We could dance,
We could prance,
More than a passing glance,
If we have a chance.

Hold your hand by my side,
Will our souls, our hearts collide?
I have the time to bide,
But will you always hide?

My arms ache to hold,
An embrace so bold,
But you're far too cold,
Well, that's what I was told.

To stroke your hair,
Your face so fair,
My only care,
Is that you'll be there.

Whenever you fall,
I'll help you stand tall,
Your enemies, I would maul,
And give you a peaceful hall.

So why don't you follow me,
Walk through the woods with me,
Frolic through fields of,
Poppies and lilies?
