Poneytail Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Poneytail

Ponytail

If I could write poem
I would write of beard same color with his hair
I would write how they look, like henna but too soft
I would write of the goats in Hana at the dusk or in dawn
Hairs brown and mohair same color; ran coming but lazy in going

If I could write poem
I would write of tattoos; once were bad as taboo
Now many, heads to toes, back and forth, everyone
I would write of genders and schools and actions/reactions
I would write of eating in Islam; eat with guest not alone facing wall

If I could write poem
I would write day and night
I would write on the waves in skies
I would write on mountains and the dust

If I could
I sure would
Write Poems.
