Did you ever learn to Polka?
Or watch others’ do the dance?
It’s so fun, creative and lively
You ought to give it a chance

So different from any other
It has a wonderful rhythmic beat
Once you get the timing right
It goes right into your feet

Perks a person right up
To be part of this celebration
The German-American society
Entertains with elaboration

They serve a wonderful dinner
With scrumptious desserts too
And you’ll recognize the dancers
They’ll wear joyful costumes for you

So be sure to join the festivities
If you ever get the chance
Because it’s so delightful
You might even get up and dance!
