Politics And Relationship Poem by Oluwagbemisola O. Lawal

Politics And Relationship

Rating: 5.0

In the grand theater of life, a stage so vast,
Where the play of politics unfolds unabashed.
One must remember, in heart and mind,
To not let partisan feuds make us blind.

A mistake oft made, repeated in time,
Letting politics ruin bonds, a clandestine crime.
No politician, no party, no creed is worth,
The love and respect that relationships birth.

Ideologies vary, as many as stars in the night,
Different views, different beliefs, it's our right.
But does it warrant a war, a tumult so grave?
Or can we converse, can we rationally behave?

Agree to disagree, a wisdom profound,
In the cacophony of views, a peaceful sound.
Our beliefs may diverge like two parallel lines,
Yet respect can bridge the gap, where sunlight shines.

Fight we must, but not with each other,
Not brother against brother, not sister against mother.
The real fight lies against the governance so bad,
In unity, in strength, in the courage we've had.

Let not the game of thrones destroy what's dear,
Nor let political whirlwinds instill unnecessary fear.
Remember the warmth of love, of unity, of respect,
For no politician is worth a relationship wrecked.

So, let's raise our voices, strong and clear,
To fight the good fight, with nothing to fear.
And when the day ends, when we've done our part,
Let not politics ruin, but mend every heart.
