Poetry Time/ Bhim Puja/Tight Invigilators/ I Saw Him Smoking / The Twin Brothers

Poetry Time

Poetry time,
It s poetry time,
Now reflect you over,
Ruminate you.

Bhim Puja

Today is Bhim Puja,
I can see them worshipping,
The folks,
A huge idol of Bhim
Robust and bulging
And with a mace
And mustachioed
Looking on.

Tight Invigilators

They have forgotten
What sort of students were they
Now as teachers have forgotten it,
Now expelling, reporting against,
Cancelling and debarring from onward exams.,
But they are the same who used to look behind,
Who used to take the help of micro Xerox materials
Keeping them in inner pockets, shoes,
Used to move to external examines' houses
Tracing the postal mails and packetings done by officials
And bribing them,
Used to score high through approach and access.

I Saw Him Smoking

I saw him
Smoking,
Taking the joy
Of smoking,
He standing
And taking
With the cigar
On the lips
Smoking
And it burning,
Burning and smoking
In embers
Glowing,
Curls of smoke
Arising and arising
But who knows,
Knows
The damage done
To his lungs,
The smoke-out,
The burn-out,
The black-out
Turning into
His death smoke?

The Twin Brothers

The twins,
I do not understand,
Who is who,
Who the elder,
Who the younger,
The elder the younger,
The younger the elder,
Who is who when,
What to say to whom,
Whose talks to whom,
The face I see and meet him
Very often, but fail
To differentiate?
