I would like to think poetry sites
Abound for the inspiring insights
That lift the soul above the mundane
To bless some relief from human pain.

If I were to dwell in boring politics
Discuss ad infinitum what's already tragic
Invade still the last bastion of reason
That Poetry accords... then I wither on.

Spare us then this moment's ease!
That verses we read may nourish with peace
Arguments and virulence elsewhere supply
For too much of Darkness hurts my eye!
