Playing The Devils Advocate Poem by Jayvin George

Playing The Devils Advocate

Frustration over crowding confusion.
The world we pretend our own is an illusion.
The devil does work with folks in disguise.
But we know there is a heaven that lies above those great skies.
God does work through blessing when Lucifer causes tragedy.
This is a tricky world can’t you see.
Flames flickering as they grab the oxygen.
Then all of a sudden tragedy strikes, not again.
Then God sends the 2 doves away to carry a blessing.
One gets distracted and the other gets lost.
Or is this the devils game we play at our own cost.
Risk of life functions at risk on the line.
Then a blessing comes as a wonderful sign.
You hold on tight until it slips like sand between your fingers.
and then you reminisce on good times as thought lingers.
Then the devil comes back to steal the joy.
And you are sucked right back into the game and there is no way to deploy.
