Contradictions Poem by Jayvin George

Contradictions

Rating: 3.8

I get up in life to get drug back down
I sit in one spot waiting for it to circle back around
Smiles turning to frowns day in and night out
Sit and pray for rain to get nothing but drought
Looking for a blessing but only committing sins
Trying to go down a straight road but can't avoid the bends
Success on this end failure at the other
Raising himself no father no mother
Failure is succeeding to sell these drugs
Success is failing to turn down these clubs
Killing himself by living inside
Stay clear while he separates and collides
Twisted so much he feels straight
Giving up on everything has he lost faith
Can't make or break his own little mind
Contradicting words in each and every line
