Pity Poem by Sarrah Ibrahim

Pity

Where is that angel I saw within?
Is she waiting by the horizon?
Bring her back I had trust in,
I vowed to take a moon walk with,
Be your armour,
Have your back,

Through the bright lit meadows,
You walk long,
Share laughs,
Giggle at my jokes,

Slower I get, you lash
Weakness I suffer, you stomp on
Insult everything that makes me,
The wolf emerges, full moon

Where did you misplace your heart?
I swear it was around here somewhere,
Too busy stabbing you were,
Racking your teensy brain to bring me down,
Insults I will not return,

Anger you don't deserve,
Pathetic, you define
Forgive, out of pity
I shall shield the scars,
Forget, I think not.
