Pirate Poem by Naomi Fraser

Pirate

She's a greedy little thing
She tried to steal your heart
Tried to pick the lock
Let her in. Let her in

I'm a greedy little thing
Tried to steal your heart
Made of gold, it's locked
Let me in. Let me in

Peter Pan and Captain Hook
Best friends years ago
I never told you, did I?
We were friends. We were friends

I'm an ugly little thing
Hook kicked me to the curb
I'm a pirate all the same
I'm caving in. I'm caving in

'She's a pretty little thing
No one deserves her heart
Her love was barricaded
Let them in. Let them in'

'You're more than just a 'thing'
I tried, I tried so hard
I'm not waiting till you're faded
I love you, let me in'

You're a cruel and scheming thing
I thought you loved me, truly
You're like hook and all the others
Carve your name into my skin
