Pieces Poem by Nicola Thoner

Pieces

Pieces.

Here goes everything.

Even the earth fits together

in mismatched pieces.

I feel as though I could drop

at any second

and still feel weightless.

light

Flightless.

Tracing over bumpy land

like goosebumps on skin

I can't remember when I last felt

this thrilled.

It's always been all or nothing.

And now I'm somewhere in between.

Finding my feet

35000ft above the ground.

This life, this world

these people.

They inspire me.
