I look in the mirror, she stares back at me
Dark innocent eyes, deep as the ocean
Her hair falling on her shoulders, thin as straw
Her arms mere bones, clacking as they reach her side
A thin frame, shrinking with every look
A smile made of rubber bands, plastered on her face
Her posture stiff and fragile, her protective shield surrounds her
As I blink, the mirror collapses, breaks, and falls at my feet
I pick up the pieces, their sharp edges graze my skin
She is forever gone, nothing left to be seen
Except her perfect plastic smile, now painted on me
