Pictures Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Am tired of sitting
Feel I need tramping.

I reach out for backpack
With few small bags…

Started cleaning
Prepare for dying…

In case that never come
Tidiness is my want…

While setting books, papers
In files, right place…
Encountered some pictures
And with them two letters.

They are of years ago
Was given a message:
"Take this to my parents! "

Giver was an Afghan
From town of Takhar
To take to Leningrad…

Nothing went as planned,
I couldn't handle that,
Of such I, have too much…

When I keep on turning
The pages and the words
See life in memories
In what I, am now lord…

I crossed the borders,
Ignored the governments,
But now feel crippled!

Do not like settlement
In some corner, silent,
Need a map once again…
