Picture Perfect Poem by Sana Olivia Hernandez

Picture Perfect

Deep,
True,
Happiness.

Seen plainly on our faces.
Loving as the light flashed.
Capturing a precious memory,
Our beautiful family.

Myself in the middle,
My brother by my side,
And the one I love most in the world.
My love returned in his eyes.
Our closeness we cannot hide.
Why would we?

It is picture perfect.

This is very tender. It's a pleasure to read, and connect to some positive memories of my own. I like the way you stated your family love in strong, direct, honest language, and yet it doesn't show any sentimentality which would weaken it. You don't have to resort to sentimentality when you write a passage like this: MY LOVE RETURNED IN HIS EYES./OUR CLOSENESS WE CANNOT HIDE, /WHY WOULD WE? /IT IS PICTURE PERFECT. The open space after Why would we? , a pause before you give the phrase picture perfect a new meaning, is wonderful! why would we?
