Persepolis Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Persepolis

There are times in our lives
We are wrong or do wrong
From my side I am in fault
Today though is on Marjan
So here; my head’s bowed
I’m begging “Forgive me.”
I’m begging “Forgive me.”

Facing you, kind audience:
Will you help go between?
Tell Marjan “You are great
Forgive him; give a chance
He has read once again and
He’s aware; of Persepolis.”

Once again I watched film
I watched it for the details
Both in English and French
Shame on me, I was wrong.

I could have zipped my lips.
The rushing caused the slip.
