Perhaps Stardust Poem by David Whalen

Perhaps Stardust

`You've never met me
Yet you know me

Face unfamiliar or perhaps...
Not a face at all

Perhaps I'm the stuff
that bad dreams are made of

Mayhaps I'm the
Handwriting …'pon the wall

The spectre… that hectors
Each one and all of us

I'm the nexus of nothingness
Memories just almost recalled

I'm no one and everyone
I'm the stars and the sun

I'm happiness and loneliness
I'm misery...I'm fun

I'm the bad and the good
I'm the best and the worse

An atom, a splinter of wood
I'm poetry, I'm the universe

And sometimes... I'm
...Nothing at all...

It seems you're the feeling one gets when they're just at the nib of understanding something, but not quite.... I'm the nexus of nothingness Memories just almost recalled...like those lines especially.
