Peacefulness Poem by Marilyn Lott

Peacefulness

There is nothing quite as brilliant
As sun on a red dirt hill
The peacefulness surrounds me
As I hear a songbird’s trill

For so many things, you know
Do not cost a single thing
They are there when we awaken
And by nightfall they still remain

A magnificent looming windmill
Against the clear blue sky
Tranquility warms my heart
And I never wonder why

The sun often surprises
By morning and by night
Clear and plain it’s beauty
Makes everything seem right

Peacefulness just amazes
And nothing feels so good
Is it God, or is it nature?
It isn’t always understood!
