Passing Torches Poem by Sonny Rainshine

Passing Torches

Rating: 5.0

It always happens that way:
A generation grows cynical
and youth steps in all wide-eyed
and exuberant to exclaim:
No, this is not right!
We can do better.

A force to be reckoned with,
they are aflame with possibility.
They are the repositories of energy
and we would be wise to rally
behind them. Can they
make things better?

Yes, they can.

Great write! I do hope that those with youth and energy on their side will strive to make the world better. My own generation sold out to consumerism we can only hope they learn from our mistakes. Thanks for a good start in cheering them on.
