Part Of A Whole Poem by Moses Rotimi

Part Of A Whole

Earth's form in red & light gray
Earth was without form & void
Beady eyes that can't avoid
Says, its time to work today
He did all works dat was odd
Golden dots in a dark sky
Divine secret in a pod
Crafty works dat will not die.

Gentle breeze kiss haggered skin
A mixture of pain & joy
And on good earth's lively spin
We dance fain like a clown's toy
The grace that day and night brings
Is seen in ways that earth breathes
And when my inward thougts rings
I think of how it all fits.

A chip of an ancient block
True image of who we are
Unknown in mystery lock
Are things we see from afar
Twin of heaven's pleasant sight
The splendor that earth may store
Grace acclaim of lofty height
Part of what God's love bestow.
