Parity In Life Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Parity In Life

Rating: 5.0

Look! .... Look in to those eyes
Something wrong, ... awful aren't they?
Blink and wipe, wash and dry
That's OK! Forget it man, forget it

Look at that nose... what is it like?
Like a Slug with a big head!
How could one change it
Even if desired so? Live with it

Ah... funny looking set of teeth
No shape, shine, color or arrangement
Yet, good enough to do the job
What to do, that's what I got

Enough.... that's enough, for now
However much I feel about them
Nothing doing, that's what I got
Let me live with it, happy or not
It's as same as living with the fiance

Ah a wonderful write, this morning I came across! Many things we can not change about ourselves like our physical features, be it our nose, eyes, teeth or our social situations like family whether we like them or not.We have to live with them, we have to accept them and live peacefully. Thanks for sharing a great poem.
