Give and the world asks for more;
Ask and they just ignore.
But freely giving gives immense mirth;
And begging begins even for birth.
Spend and you get many friends;
Spent, and your friendship ends.
When moneyed people flock to you with smiles;
When bankrupt, they desert you for miles.

Be kind and they ride on you;
Be hard and they behave;
The world joins you in your joyous moment;
When sad, they add the torment.
Give freedom and they praise you;
Be strict and they will hate too;
Love them and they wear a suspicious look;
Hate them and they gift a book.

Advise and they do not care;
Ignore and they inquire;
Speak lies and they praise you to the skies;
If honest, they live in vice.
Help and they will turn a leech;
In your need, they go off reach.
They love your pomp and show and mask on face;
If you are truthful, they change their gaze.
