Paradise-Bosco Poem by Coach Roth

Paradise-Bosco

Bosco came into the bar nightly…
Latino, good looking, strong…
He owned a chain of restaurants
in the Los Angeles area…
He became good friends with Maria…
She thought he was extremely funny
and intelligent and they would often
sit at the end of the bar while he
bought drinks and told her stories…

Uncle Buck: “You want me to kill him.’
Coach: “C’mon Buck, he’s not doing
anything wrong…”
“He’s hitting on Maria”
Buck was very protective of her...
“Yeah, but she’s going home with me.”
Buck: “Seriously…I’ll just maim him a little”

One night Maria left early and Coach
went to take the bus…Bosco pulled up
in his new Porsche and offered Coach a ride…
They headed toward Echo Park down
Sunset Boulevard when suddenly Bosco
pulled to the curb and stopped the car…
“What does she see in you? ”
“I don’t know what you mean.”
“What does Maria see in you…
you don’t have money,
you’re not good looking,
you’re in a dead end job…
why the hell is she with you? ”
“I don’t know…”
Coach thought for a few seconds…
“I think it’s because she gets turned on
by the fact that I can kill a man with one hand.”
“You’re kidding right? ”
Looking directly into Bosco’s eyes…
“No…no, I’m not. Plus I’m intelligent,
and you’re very lucky you didn’t add
stupid to the list of my faults…”
Bosco started the car and silently
drove down Sunset to the Snake Pit.

Two days later…
Maria: “What did you say to Bosco? ”
“Nothing…”
“It was something, he won’t talk to me,
he’s scared to death…what did you tell
him.”
“He asked why you like me, and I said
it was because I’m charming, good in bed,
and very honest…”
Maria laughed “You liar.”

This is my favorite by your Paradise cycle...so far - there is Eve, a snake, Adam and God!

Very cute. All good relationships are based on little white lies, don't you think? X's and O's
