In pale blue tissue paper sky
white clouds drift in soft white crepe;
Blackbirds swoop, soaring to fly
in pleated origami shape.

Rice paper fields in olive green
flecked with handmade sheets of beige;
Trees of jade entwined between
reams of grass faded with age.

Far above the cardboard ground
where in the distance and beyond,
marbled paper hills surround
a watercolour paper pond.

A cotton moon begins to wane,
above a sea of cellophane..!
