Pages Of Regret Poem by Atty. Catherine SisonPariño

Pages Of Regret

In pages,
I unfold
My soul's lore,

A tale,
Once pure,
Now tainted at its core.

Read me,
before,
A story yet untold,

Innocence
And hope,
The pages did hold.

Read me,
After,
Judgment's heavy hand,

Unleashes
Storms upon
The tranquil land.

Why judge,
As if my words
Have caused you harm,

In this book's embrace,
Was there
Any charm?

Tear me,
Like a fragile rose,
You might,

Crush me,
As stars fade
Into the night.

Crumple my pages,
Let anger's storm
Brew,

Who cares,
As love
And friendship bid adieu?

'I regret,
Having known you! '
I declare,

Yet within these pages,
A heart
Laid bare.

For in this story,
Hidden deep within
The ink,

A plea for understanding,
Love,
Let's rethink.
