Out There Poem by Pablo Gonzalez

Out There

Rating: 5.0

Perhaps in another world my friend,
perhaps in the wake of a violent storm
in another galaxy
by the heat of another sun

where the dust from my footprints
still
hovers
from the last time I was there

where the echoes of my presence
still
is to meet the virginity of silence
as it makes its way through the spaces
I have not yet visited

where time is relative
and i'm relative to no one

where rock has been formed
clashed violently
in the eternal shift
from darkness to light
chaos to life
rock to molten metal

at the equinox of imagination
the dark hole
from where my imagination
cannot escape

Where fire freezez
and water burns

perhaps, one day, what lies there will cease to be desolate
and the density
of the gas
that created life
or brought forth death
is gone

I believe
a small part of me will visit
in someone elses body
in some other form

and your skin will feel the same warmth I experienced when envisioning the place you've now chosen to colonize with your rituals
with your majestic sense
of form,
for on goeth life
even in a place
that we do not yet know.

How many suns will you traverse
in your journey
will you ever visit mine?
where diamonds are abundant
for your greed as not yet arrived
where no hands have yet built a castle
or a throne
or forged a sword
to carve our sins
in the flesh of our brothers.
my Elysian fields,
where the strings
of the universe
enchant your atmosphere
in the infnite branches
of the multiverse
you are a possibility
