Out Smart Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Out Smart

Out smart

The police, next to me,
Possibly was Derick,
Sure, smart, clever,
Obviously alert.

On surface he was there
To help us, just in case!

But in fact, he observed,
Studied things in depths.

Dashed in car and reverse,
For checking license plates!

In his car, computer
Had huge storage
Of penalties, mistakes!

Came German SUV,
A young man driving,
And police did notice:
"Belongs to his mother
And has pending tickets! "

Surely boy was aware
Of police and matters.

He came out, after time,
Chose to walk, not drive.

While Derick was waiting
And busy with something
I saw the young man walk,
Chose to leave car behind.

Criminals outsmart
The police and the law.

Later, with Derick gone
Criminal took his car
And drove, no goodbye!
