Our Pride Is Not For Sale Poem by Hebert Logerie

Our Pride Is Not For Sale

The price of liberty and honor is death
We are nothing without good health
We will return with only the clothes
That we are wearing. We'll wear gloves
For no reason. We aren't afraid to die
For our liberty, honor, and dignity.

Our people are not for sale
Please do not come to bid
Human beings were not made
We were born. We don't wear a lid
But a hat, to protect us from the rays
Of the almighty sun. To God, we send praise.

No man or woman is superior to another
No woman can be inferior. We're much better
Than the rumors. We‘re all special and unique
Life is a process, a struggle, not a picnic
We'll fight until the end. We're not for sale
We are all equal. Please ring, ring the bell.
