Our People Are Dying In Haiti Poem by Hebert Logerie

Our People Are Dying In Haiti

Our people are dying in Haiti,
After the rampage of Hurricane Matthew.
What are we going to do?
Our siblings are sick, thirsty, and hungry.
I want to bet with you that you have no clue
Of what's going beyond your neighborhood.

Our people need water, medicine, and food,
After the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.
Let's make a sacrifice to raise fund,
So we can save the lives of many human beings.
Send your contributions, part of your refund,
Because you care. We are all queens and kings.

Today is their turns, ours may come tomorrow.
Let's help the children, and our brothers and sisters,
After the violent fury of Hurricane Matthew.
You all love the ocean, earth, trees, and flowers,
Be generous to escape regret and sorrow,
By proving that we care beyond our neighborhood.

Hebert, I've been thinking of you because of this disastrous hurricane. Well done for writing this. I have been talking about it a lot, and you're right, many people don't even know.
