Our Mindsets Are On Two Different Ships Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Our Mindsets Are On Two Different Ships

Relationships based upon the masquerading of images...
Are not invited for private meetings,
Within the comfort of my home.

People who condone those types of affairs,
I don't criticize at all.
What is mine is not theirs to share.
And mutually I don't see why the other would care.
Our mindsets are on two different ships.

Relationships based upon the masquerading of images...
Are not invited for private meetings,
Within the comfort of my home.

No one is invited to come into my home,
To play hide and seek.
Or guess what I'm thinking next!
If the conversation is not open and free...
I don't extend understandings.
Get up and leave,
That's my policy!
