Optimum Fame Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Optimum Fame

World replete with
philanthropists
claiming self-less service
secretly vying for recognition:
Fame and Name
the Siamese twins
sometimes I wonder
how much fame one requires
to march ahead....
can it be capped...
One secretly aspires
looks to be liked
words to be appreciated
speeches to be praised
songs to be clapped
knowingly or unknowingly
the thin hazy line
between work and fame...
the optimum fame:
perhaps gets the work going!

Fame and Name the Siamese twins- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - so well put in so few words! I really responded to your dissertation here- -I believe we all recognize some of these people in our own lives. Well done!
