Oppression

Oppression
Is not in built
In the human mind
It comes
When corruption
Replaces compassion
In the mind
Power
Arrogance
Greed
Become partners
Have
A cumulative effect
Resulting in
Show of strength
To the weak
And
Down trodden
Just like
On a hot summer
Afternoon
The bright sunlight
Melts the
Cool ice cream

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
