Only A Dream Away Poem by Arlene Faith Kortright

Only A Dream Away

He sees her around
All by herself
His heart starts to pound
He's under her spell
The last time he saw her
Still plays in his head
He knows he can't have her,
But there in his bed...

She's only a dream away
She's waiting for him at the end of the day
There's no one else but her on his mind
Night after night till the morning light
She's only a dream, only a dream
Only a dream away

The moon's shinin' in
Through curtains of lace
She's dreaming of him
And his loving embrace
She'll meet him in Paris, or Old Mexico
They'll dance on the terrace
And he'll never know...

He's only a dream away
He's waiting for her at the end of the day
There's no one else but him on her mind
Night after night till the morning light
He's only a dream, only a dream
He's only a dream away

Brg.
He's missin' her
While she's missin' him
While love goes on missin' the two of them...

They're only a dream away
Love's waiting for them at the end of the day
They don't have a clue, their dreams could come true
Oh, what would they do, if they only knew?
They're only a dream, only a dream,
Only a dream away....
