I sit in the park, waiting
Patience slowly fading
Nerves start grating
Almost begin praying
Why am I here?
Anything to fear?
It ended long ago
Lost her to my foe
November mist
Chilly for a tryst
This is where we kissed
Where we left pissed
A couple passes by
I smile sadly and mouth, "hi"
This is their time
Some love never dies
Finally she arrives
With moonlight in her eyes
Want my own to dry
Jesus, I could die
A warm embrace
As we face
Filled with grace
This holy space
We sit and talk
Sometimes balk
Occasionally gawk
No move to walk
The boom comes down
Heard all over town
A wedding gown
A stupid clown
That's it for me
Enough of thee
I glance at a tree
Right before I flee
I get up, plunge my hands into my leather jacket, and vanish into the fog, becoming one with the night…
well narrated......touching with the salt of pain and tears......................but all is not lost as u could put it in a beautiful poem............ :)
Powerful! A very well penned and poignant write! Sad but yet heart touching since we all go through this stage one time or another but it is part of our growing up! You are young, strong and talented to find the ways to move on and temporarily perhaps, vanishing into the fog but soon you will rise like a Leon and climb the higher mountain of the Poetry World and find a new Love that will wholeheartedly appreciate your true love! 10+++ Keep it up! Tiger! God Bless You! Love and Peace for always! Romeo from Bronx, NY...
Wonderful composition of rhyme and simple yet intelligent words. Nice poem! ! Please keep sharing...

get up, plunge my hands into my leather jacket, and vanish into the fog, becoming one with the night… liked these lines... all in vain or a sweet dream!
