One More Day Poem by Lisa Webster

One More Day

Rating: 5.0

two weeks like eternity
I need your arms embracing me
I think of you so sound asleep
an empty space where I should be
And while you dream I lie awake
A curled up fetus shape I take
A sigh, a thought, a wish I make
Awaiting for silence to break
Then beams of light come peeking through
A sign to say the day's anew
The sky filled with the deepest blue
Just one more day to wait for you
