One Moment On Christmas Eve Poem by Margaret Beil

One Moment On Christmas Eve

</>Your Tee shirt red
Long sleeved
With a Christmas thought.
Your jeans blue
Stylishly turned up.
Beige socks with wriggling toes
Everest awaits you, a mere six weeks old!
His Tee shirt was also red
with a logo
of course
Strong and powerful arms
Inside
Relaxed
You lift your head
The perfect moment
When your eyes meet
Sensitive, lips smile down upon you
Your tiny ear hears a familiar noise, a rhythmic heart beat
Remember?
But for now Daddy's strong chest will comfort you
Happy Christmas Ethan
Until we meet again
