One Bird Concert Show Poem by Franklin Spriggs

One Bird Concert Show

Rating: 5.0

I was sitting alone on a beautiful day,
Hardly no one else around,
When I seen a bird on a wire,
Producing this glorious sound.

I listened to it sing it's song,
What a happy bird to be,
But are you singing to yourself,
Or singing it to me.

The melody went on and on,
Such tunes upon my ears,
It seemed as though it would never stop,
That it would sing for many years.

The little bird sung it's song of love,
Every tweet in perfect rhymne,
I wished for it to never stop,
Like bells in churches chime.

But the little bird ended it's chorus,
It was time for it to go,
I thank my lucky stars above,
For this one bird concert show.

The concert finally ended,
As I sit all alone,
The little bird went to his nest,
And I went walking home.
