Once-An Unfinished Poem

Rating: 5.0

I was a White Swan...
A Beautiful, soulful and sometimes frantic one..
I Frolicked in the lake and strutted free
Enjoyed every rising day
Each nightfall was a dazzled craze

But all this changed, in the end of Spring
When they said I was no longer free to prance
To be confined within boundaries – in which I did not understand...
No more flying from East to West, they said!
Nor even from North to South...
Definitely not ever – ever- at the bi-polar ends

I have turned into a Black Swan..
A Desperate, sorrowful and most hysteric one...
The lake is now curtains and barred wire, no more liberty
But toned right down as small as the countless pills they send
Like a grain of sand, laying low in the bottom of a roiled sea
Can do nothing, miserably accepting the painful realities - normality

No one seeming to care or even empathise....
What is all these fuss about?
They said...
Why can’t I be left alone..and just be

For I wish to Fly high and dive low –The way I used to be..
It s simply what I know...

Once...

It is beyond frustration when thy self cannot stay true,
It is just so so cruel
My heart aches and I feel no more, who is this person I know no more?
I wish as days pass pieces of me will come back,
But perhaps..i will never be either Swan again...

That
Was
Once written –from the winter months passed
I am glad to say...the new Spring has now brought new change...

Swan – Black or white neither matters...
What matters is what “I” – still remained
Each day will un-fold its destined secret,
If I stay mindful I will surely be in a Peaceful place
Quietness’ and Wisdom I dare to chase
I am confident my foot prints are firmly implanted deep...once - again

Amen..A new journey...
