Our year-long race is over and done
We've crossed the finish line and each of us won
Experience born wisdom is our prize
The joys of accomplishment we should emphasize

We may have stumbled and fallen along the way
We got back on our feet and in the race we did stay
Surpassing tall hurdles placed in our lane
Good spirits assisted our pace to maintain

Now rested and ready to start a new race
Excited with the prospect of the challenges we'll face
The ones that we love will be cheering we know
As the starter soon yells on your mark, get set, go!
