On The Threat Of Nuclear War Poem by Francis Duggan

On The Threat Of Nuclear War

Far too many Countries governments with nuclear weapons at their disposal in truth one can say
This is something we are not in need of in the World of today
No government should have nuclear weapons at their disposal government politicians from Hiroshima have not learned a thing
Of the praises of their nuclear capabilities many nuclear power leaders their own praises does sing
A nuclear war our great Earth Mother would surely survive
But from it there will not be many humans left alive
Ageing egotistical males with nuclear weapons at their disposal threatening each other every day
In their war of words it is a dangerous game they does play
Their egos bigger than their brains in truth one can say
For one mistake that would lead to nuclear war the price would be huge to pay
For all of humanity billions of people would die
Nuclear power leaders who boast they would be victorious in a nuclear war believe in their own lie
Far too many Countries with nuclear weapons under the control of egotistical ageing men
From the thousands of deaths in the nuclear attack in Japan there was nothing learned then.
