On The Bay Poem by David Harris

On The Bay

Rating: 5.0

I walked beside a bay
taking in everything I saw,
several small boats
nudged at their mooring
with every incoming wave.
Ducks swam around
with their young in tow
watched on by some geese
who had stopped for a break there.
The sun spread a long finger
across every wave
as they rolled slowly to the shore.
As a sense of peace
hung over everything
on the bay.
