On John Howard Poem by Francis Duggan

On John Howard

John Howard Australia's ex Prime Minister who likes to refer to socialist views as begrudging mentality
That their thinking belong to narrow minded poverty
Though he has not been in Parliament for many a day
Like many ex politicians he likes to have his say
And like many ex politicians his opinions on current affairs never a neutral view
But this is not saying anything on any way that is new
Ex politicians are entitled to their opinions one can only suppose
Though most of them in life make their own friends and create their own foes
And John is loyal to his friends for to give him his due
To George W Bush on his war in Iraq he remained ever true
A war that Iraqi people are paying for today
So many of their people in mass graves do lay
On his huge Prime Ministerial pension John Howard for himself is doing quite okay
And like many ex politicians he is one with a lot for to say.

well said. I'm not a Howard fan, but I am of the marsh Arabs of southern Iraq (after reading Thesiger's book) . Then when I heard and saw pictures of how Saddam was destroying them and their habitat (I think they are Shiite) I was quite happy to see Bush's invasion.

Politics certainly do not please us all. We paid their high wages I believe they should now receive a general pension like the rest of the aged pensioners. They have had enough perks. Thank you
